Carly. Sydney. Tyler. I love their names. Some of the nicest kids you could meet. We met up at Shingleroof Campground in McDonough. For those of you not familiar with Shingleroof, a lil history lesson….. this is the place for “camp meeting”. Julie Standards family “tent”( cabin for the rest of the world) has been in her family for a long while. I mean, Shingleroof has been around since 1831. EIGHTEEN THIRTY ONE. Crazy. I love it. It reminds me of what the South is all about. Many of my family reunions have been held there and I have fond memories of water balloon fights and church there as a kid. Its Old McDonough. Anyhoo…… We met up there and then moved to a top secret spot Julie had picked out. I fell in love with this spot the minute I saw it on a scouting trip and could not wait to shoot there. The kids were troopers and jumped right down in the rocks on the creek and climbed over trees and such. I love seeing kids be kids. they were soooooo cool! Julie and Michael, thanks for letting me photograph your children. Enjoy!
Personal Photography: FOOD! DRINKS!
Food. Its good. When its good. Yesterday, Beck and I headed out to the Georgia Organic sponsored Attack of the Killer Tomato festival at Westside Urban Market which house one of my favorite restaurants JCT Kitchen. The food and drinks were amazing! Everything had a tomato theme or taste, even the drinks and the ice cream. Let me prefece this by saying that I am not a food blogger. You are not going to hear me tell you about the texture of a tomato, the euphoric feeling I get from a cocktail, etc… I like food dangit. Good stuff. And they had it here. Here is a run down of the Chefs and participants of the festival :

Yes, if you follow TV and Top Chef, you will notice a few of those names up there. That is what is awesome about the Atlanta right now. We have some incredible places to eat… all right here. Beck and I hung out with Broderick of SavoryExposure who is an incredible photographer. Check it here . Broderick does a great job so I decided to take a plunge and shoot an event. Here are some photos I took of the event. Think Organic!
To be a top chef contestant, TV Chef and extremely popular person… he was so cool. He actually grew up in my hometown of Locust Grove GA . We talked BBQ and both agree that Fresh Air BBQ in Jackson Ga is still the best. Hands Down. Do not tell me otherwise. I was ” raised” on it and will fight you to the end.

Ron Eyester, owner and Chef of Rosebud , my favorite Atlanta restaurant. I love his Grateful Dead Playlist as a fellow deadhead, and his food is unreal. Go check it out one day.
Emery: Locust Grove Children Photography
Recent shoot I had with little Emery. She is a cute cute baby! Big Sis Avery was there to help me out and we were able to grab some great shots. This family rocks, so I am biased on how great these kids are. And her mom always finds clothes that make a great photo! Annnnndddddd here is Emery!
And here are a few I took of Avery for helping on the shoot. She is such the cutie!
